ACADEMIC HISTORY

Relevant Courses

Fall 2018

ADVANCED MECHATRONICS DESIGN LAB

This was a project based course where I built a 3D printer. I worked in a team of 5 students to design, model, build, and test our printer. By the end of the semester, we had built a working 3D printer that put out quality parts.

Fall 2018

INTRO TO EMBEDDED SYSTEMS

Embedded Systems was a project based course in which I learned in great detail about working with PLCs from both a hardware and software prospective. In this course I built a car based around a PLC with wireless control capabilities.

Spring 2020

ROBOTICS AND AUTONOMOUS SYSTEMS

This was a course about the mathematical representation of moving robotic manipulators and the control techniques using that math.  Key methodologies and technologies included advanced robot control, robot coordination and cooperation, sensing, state estimation, motion planning, and design of sensors and actuators.

Spring 2020

DESIGN OF COMPLEX DIGITAL SYSTEMS

In this course, I learned how to design component level electrical systems using a Verilog. Additionally, I learned techniques to build and test more complex systems with a focus on timing.

Summer 2018

FUNDAMENTALS OF LOGIC DESIGN

In this course I learned how design digital logic circuits. This included extensive experience with K-maps and Boolean algebra, along with multiple projects where I designed and built circuits to perform various tasks, such as a circuit to emulate a vending machine. Additionally, I gained experience using an Analog Discovery 2 and the WaveForms software associated with it as an oscilloscope,  waveform generator, digital pattern generator, and various other uses.

Fall 2017 & Spring 2018

ELECTRIC CIRCUITS

In Electric Circuits, I learned to design and analyze circuits. I also gained experience operating a function generator, spectrum analyzer,  and an oscilloscope.

Spring 2019

PRINCIPLES OF AUTOMATIC CONTROL

Principles of Automatic Control is a course where I learned the fundamentals of control theory. I learned how to model electro-mechanical systems and how to design controllers with these models. Additionally, this course gave me the oppurtunity to become more familiar with modeling software such as MATLAB and Simulink.

Spring 2019

MECHATRONICS SYSTEMS MODELING

I learned to model and simulate electro-mechanical systems using MATLAB and Simulink in this course, as well as how to effectively integrate different types of systems, such as electrical, mechanical, and thermodynamic systems.

Fall 2019

FLUID MECHANICS

I learned the basic equations underlying fluid statics and fluid dynamics in this course for both a general case and view and for many specialized cases.

Fall 2019

HEAT TRANSFER FUNDAMENTALS

Heat Transfer was exactly as advertised, a course about the transfer of heat. It taught me analytical and numerical methods to find multidimensional heat transfer using the concepts of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.

Fall 2018

COMPUTER SYSTEM PROGRAMMING

In this course, I learned to program in the C language. This included writing programs with linked lists, sorting algorithms, and abstract data types. Additionally, I learned to convert C code into assembly language and vise versa.

Fall 2018

DYNAMICS OF MACHINES

In Dynamics of Machines I learned to analyze and model oscillating mechanical systems, most commonly a forced mass-spring-damper system. I also had the opportunity to use MATLAB extensively to  model these systems.

Fall 2016 & Fall 2019

STATISTICS

I have taken two statistics courses where I learned both algebra based and calculus based statistics.
